'Artifact' Dragonfly Tile-Handmade Tiles-3 inch tile 75 mm tile-Black clay tile-mosaic tile-art tile-unique tile-indoor/outdoor tile-garden tile
We make each of these unique tiles by hand from Canadian black clay. The tiles feature a large dragonfly in relief (3 dimensional) which is glazed with a pale turquoise matte glaze which has been wiped back to reveal the fine details of the dragonfly in flight. Each tile is fired to 2300F or stoneware hardness which makes these tiles impermeable to water. As a result, they can be used indoor or outdoors and are not affected by heat or freezing.
Note: The dragonfly is offset diagonally across the tile but we can also change the orientation of the dragonfly if desired. Please send a note with your order (see "personalization") if you would prefer the dragonfly to be oriented with the body parallel to the edges of the tile.
Size: 3 inch (approx. 75-76mm). Approx. 1/4 - 3/8 inch thick (please note that the edge of the tile is approx 1/4 inch (6.3mm) but the dragonfly is raised against the flat tile.
